What were some staple crops in colonial Connecticut? Any colonial recipes using these staple crops?

I already know that tobacco, rice, corn, beans, and carrots were all staple crops in Connecticut, but can anyone tell me any more? The more the better. And if anyone could give me any authentic colonial recipes that uses one or more of Connecticut staple crops that would be even better. The recipe must have been used in colonial times, and I need the URL of the web page where you got it from. Again, the more recipes to choose from, the better. Thanks a bunch to everyone who answers. What were some staple crops in colonial Connecticut? Any colonial recipes using these staple crops?
